Galaxy S9 is one of the most popular Android phone, and also a 2018 Samsung flagship. Let’s track down all the updates the S9 has had till now, and the ones it will get in the future, including the big Android Q 10 update that will also get S9 users an updated skin called One UI 2.0.
Android Q update
The Galaxy S9 is fully eligible for the Android Q update. Google is working hard to add some great new features to Android Q, and that makes the update very worthy.
Expect the Android Q beta to becomes available for global and US variants of the Galaxy S9 sometime in Jan-Feb 2020, around the same the stable Galaxy 10 Android Q update begins rolling out for the users.

One UI 2.0 update
The S9 will also receive an updated custom interface in the form of One UI 2.0 as part of the Samsung Android Q update.
It’s rumored that the Galaxy S11 will feature an even newer version in One UI 2.1, but the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S9, and Galaxy Note 9 will receive One UI 2.0.
The 2017 flagships, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, and Galaxy Note 8, won’t be updated to One UI 2.0 and Android Q, in case you are wondering.
No leaks are available for the new UI right now, so we have no idea how One UI 2.0 will look and feel like.
