Peaks of Prestige core gameplay explained
Preparation phase
During preparation, you actively shape the duel outcome. You can deploy up to four Echoes, use Modulate, Transform, or Reconstruct actions, and trigger Domain or Novelty effects. Overlaying Echoes is crucial here, as it activates Core Echo trials and special skills that define your win condition.

Battle phase
Once combat begins, everything resolves automatically. Echo STR determines attack power, CON sets health, and any surviving Echoes deal direct damage to the opposing duelist.

A duel ends either when one side’s HP reaches zero or after eight rounds, with the higher HP winning.
Energy generation and card draw start limited, so early success depends on building momentum through buffs and efficient cycling.

Deckbuilding fundamentals
After defeating Chessa, full deck customization becomes available. Every valid deck must follow strict rules:
- Exactly 1 Domain and 1 Core Echo
- Maximum of 22 total cards
- No more than two elements, matching the Core Echo or Domain
- One Resonator Tactic, such as Rover (Aero) or Encore
| Rule | Details |
|---|---|
| Required cards | 1 Domain, 1 Core Echo |
| Card limit | 22 total |
| Normal Echo copies | Up to 2 each |
| Novelty copies | 1 each |
| Max elements | 2 (must match Core Echo / Domain) |
| Echo limit on field | 4 (Novelties excluded) |
Starter balanced deck example
| Card | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Inferno Rider (Core Echo) | Last Stand buff; trial triggers at low HP or Round 5 |
| Chop Chop: Headless | Transform (3): +2 STR, +1 CON |
| Vanguard Junrock | Modulate draw engine with Invisibility |
| Sabyr Boar | Energy generation and Toughness via Transform |

Additional cards unlock later by spending Prestige Points earned after beating Calith.
How to secure early wins
- Follow the prompts against Chessa to learn phase flow and basic Echo deployment. Rover (Aero) tactics provide reliable early buffs.
- Use low-cost Echoes and focus on draw consistency. Cards like Fission Junrock help smooth your hand and prevent energy stalls.
- Shift toward Transform-heavy play. Let Inferno Rider’s trial trigger naturally around Round 5 or at low HP to swing the match back in your favor.
- Prioritize La Guardia-style boost stacking for long-term STR scaling. Testing builds in AI practice before harder duels saves time and resources.

High-difficulty deck archetypes
| Archetype | Core setup | Win condition |
|---|---|---|
| Starter balanced | Inferno Rider + Rover (Aero) | Low-HP trials and steady stat growth |
| Spectro–Fusion spam | Fallacy of No Return + Encore | Rapid Transform chains and DMG stacking |
| Aero–Glacio stall | Feilian Beringal + Cantarella | Carapace DoT and delayed trial activation |
| Modulation burst | Havoc Warrior → Thundering Mephis | Instant trial triggers via Modulation stacks |
Flank Force builds also shine in Endless and Special Duels, enabling pressure plays through repeated activations.
How to build an Echo deck
Deck construction now follows a fixed structure. You must include exactly one Domain card and one Core Echo, then fill the remaining slots with Normal Echoes and optional Novelties without exceeding the 22-card cap.
Normal Echoes are your primary combat units, while Novelties and Domains shape tempo, economy, and stat scaling during Preparation.

How element matching works in decks
Element rules are strict but flexible if you plan around them.
- You may only use Normal Echoes that share elements with your Core Echo and Domain.
- A deck can include up to two elements total.
- If your Core Echo and Domain share the same element, you may:
- Stay mono-element, or
- Add a second element for a dual-element deck.
- Elementless Echoes and Novelties can be added to any deck without restriction.
How to deploy and use Novelties
Novelties are utility cards rather than combat units.
- They cost Energy but do not count toward the 4 Echo limit.
- They never fight or take damage.
- Each Novelty can be activated once per Preparation Phase, with limited total uses.

Common Novelty effects include:
- Free Echo deployment without Energy cost
- Temporary STR or CON boosts
- Card draw or Energy recovery
Because they bypass field limits, Novelties are best used to accelerate setups or amplify already-deployed Echoes.
How Domains give you a preparation advantage
Domains are one-time-use cards activated during the Preparation Phase.
Each Domain includes:
- A deckbuilding condition that must be met to activate its effect.
- A recharge condition that allows multiple activations in a single phase if fulfilled.
Domains often define your deck’s identity, enabling burst turns, mass buffs, or rapid trial progression when timed correctly.

How advanced combat mechanics work
Modulation explained
Modulation lets you stack power onto a single Echo.
- Place an Echo from your hand on top of an on-field Echo.
- The top Echo gains increased stats.
- You can Modulate up to two times.
- A 1-Cost Modulated Echo is required as the base before Modulating into a 3-Cost Echo.
This mechanic is essential for creating high-STR or high-CON win conditions.

How Transform skills work
Some cards have Transform skills that activate when placed in the Transform zone.
- Transforming triggers an immediate bonus effect.
- The card is removed from the deck afterward.
- Effects often grant Energy, stats, or special buffs.
Because transformed cards are consumed, Transform-heavy decks require careful timing and resource planning.

How to use Reconstruction efficiently
Reconstruction lets you recycle unused resources.
- Drag a card from hand or field into the Reconstruction zone.
- Gain Energy in return.
- The card is shuffled back into your deck for future draws.
This keeps your deck lean and prevents dead hands during long duels.
Special skills and synergy
Some Echoes grant Special Skills when another Echo is Modulated over them.
- The top Echo inherits the listed skill.
- Fulfill the activation condition to trigger the bonus.
- Effects range from stat buffs to Energy generation or damage boosts.
Strong decks are built around chaining these skills together rather than relying on raw stats alone.

How Resonator tactics fit into your deck
Each deck can select one Resonator to provide passive and active abilities.
- Passive effects apply automatically.
- Active abilities cost Energy to use.
- Resonators unlock only after meeting specific conditions.

How to make the most of Peaks of Prestige
Because the mode is permanent, you’re free to grind Prestige Points, unlock every card and tactic, and farm upgrade materials without time pressure. Mastery here feeds directly back into your main roster progression, making Rekindled Duel a strategic investment rather than a side activity.
By understanding deck limits, timing trials correctly, and choosing the right archetype for each difficulty, you turn this mode into one of the most efficient long-term progression systems in Wuthering Waves 3.0.
