Huawei released the Android 8.0 Oreo update for several of its devices last week. The Honor 9, Honor V9, Mate 9, P10 and P10 Plus, received the update. And now, it has been confirmed that the Honor 8 and Honor 8 Pro would also get the update.
The confirmation comes directly from the CEO of Honor, George Zao, who said so in an interview with a Serbian website. According to him, the software testing for the Honor 8 and Honor 8 Pro are currently in progress. He also stated that more Honor smartphones will be getting the update.
Furthermore, the recently announced Honor 7X would also be getting the Oreo update very soon. Apparently, when this model was announced, Oreo wasn’t very widely adapted, which is why Honor decided to release it with Nougat instead.
