OnePlus team has finally gifted the Marshmallow update to its OnePlus X users, initially coming off as a community build. This build is not a final release, and thus you may experience some little bugs or issues in far corners of the ROM. The software version of the OnePlus X Marshmallow update community build is OxygenOS 3.1.0.

The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for OnePlus X was long due, so much that we’re all set to see Android 7.0 Nougat update launch today on Nexus devices, and have already started talking about Android Nougat update for OnePlus 3, which we think could arrive by October 2016. For OnePlus X though, it could take Q2 2017, easily, given the attention — or lack thereof — OnePlus has paid so far.

There are lots of changes part of the OxygenOS 3.1.0 update, apart form the biggest name in Marshmallow. You also get security patches leading up to August, which is latest currently available, something we expect in Android Nougat update expected to release today.
