A big leak of the upcoming Nokia 9 prototype has brought us a truckload of detail about the device. From the internals of the smartphone to what it looks like on the outside (almost!), we can glean at a lot of things that, till today, remained in the dark.
In the gallery below, you’ll notice a blue case on Nokia 9. Well, it isn’t really a case as Nokia had permitted taking pictures of the prototype on the condition that the design of the Nokia 9 remains hidden.
Right off the bat, the 13MP dual lens shooter — yes, it’s the first Nokia dual camera phone — that catches our attention. They have been horizontally placed and what’s more, the black circle underneath the lenses may be laser assisted autofocus.
Based on the benchmark running on the device, the Nokia 9 features Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a 5.27-inch WQHD display. This display is crazy bright too, according to the leak, and can go up to 530nits.
The camera samples present below will give you an idea of how the flagship Nokia 9 performs. Spoiler alert: it isn’t as great as we hoped it would be, but this is prototype after all.
The screen also houses the same physical home button found on the Nokia 3, 5 and 6, which also acts as the fingerprint scanner. The bottom of the device carries a USB type-C port and the top features the 3.5mm audio jack.

The design of the device is still a tightly held secret as you can see from the gallery below, but we are at least able to tell that it has an aluminium build. The Nokia 9 runs a super clean build of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Based on current rumors, the device may retail at the $700 price range.
