What to know

In Where Winds Meet, the Giveaway emote is a handy multiplayer-only tool that lets you toss coins, primarily for Beg sect tasks. To unlock it, you need to visit the Merit Pool near Harvestfall Village and interact with Le Yuan. Once unlocked, it appears in the Solo tab of your emote menu and can be used anytime to help with reputation farming or just for fun in social interactions.
How to unlock the Giveaway emote
Follow the steps below to obtain the Giveaway emote in Where Winds Meet with ease:
Step 1: Switch to multiplayer mode
Open your map and change the world mode from Solo to Multiplayer/Online at the top of the screen. This is essential, as the Merit Pool and its NPC are only available in multiplayer.
Step 2: Travel to Harvestfall Village
On the multiplayer map, fast travel to the Harvestfall Village boundary stone in the Qinghe. This bustling co-op hub makes it easy to find other players nearby.
Step 3: Head to Merit Pool
From the Harvestfall Village boundary stone, move straight toward the marked location until the Merit Pool icon appears on your map. The Merit Pool is a small landmark with a circular fountain or well by the lakeshore.

Step 4: Talk to Le Yuan
Approach the NPC Le Yuan, who stands beside the fountain or well at the Merit Pool. Interact with him and select the first dialogue option ("How to toss coins? Unlock Giveaway”). After this, the Giveaway emote will be permanently unlocked for your character.

How to equip and use the Giveaway emote
Follow the steps below to learn how to use the Giveaway emote properly in Where Winds Meet:
Step 1: Open the emote menu
On PC, press F2 to access the emote menu. On console, use the assigned emote button shown in the controls screen, usually the Function Wheel button.
Step 2: Select the Giveaway emote
In the emote menu, switch to the Solo tab (not Social or Multiplayer). Locate the Giveaway emote and highlight it. If it’s still locked, return to Le Yuan in multiplayer and follow the unlock steps again.
Step 3: Perform the emote
Confirm the Giveaway emote to perform it. Near the Merit Pool fountain, you’ll toss coins into the water, and when used in front of a player performing the Beg emote, you’ll throw coins toward them, which counts toward Beg sect task progress.
Unlocking and Using the Giveaway Emote
The Giveaway emote is a quick and easy social tool that’s especially useful for Beg sect reputation farming in multiplayer. Simply switch to online mode, travel to Merit Pool near Blissful Retreat, talk to Le Yuan, and the emote will be permanently added to your emote menu, ready for use anytime.
