The Galaxy Note 8 isn’t exactly new to rumor mill, as we have seen its prototype leak out earlier, and even a front panel and render video. But today, a new leak points out that Samsung has begin testing the software on the Note 8, and we even a have a build number out for the device, software version N9500ZCU0AQEF.
This basically translates to the fact that Samsung is pretty close to Galaxy Note 8 release and is starting to finalize the software side of the device now. For what it’s worth, the Galaxy Note 8 has been certified too in China. So, we should be able to see the Galaxy Note 8 hit the streets real soon.
Today’s leak comes from mmddj_china, so there is a good amount of credibility behind it. This isn’t the first time that we get to see the software version leak out, as one for the international variant of the Note 8 was in preparation way back in April.
From what we know so far, the upcoming Note 8 is expected to follow on the same bezel-less display with the 18:9 aspect ratio found on the flagships. Rumors also heavily hint that the Galaxy Note 8 may sport a dual camera on its back. But the Note 8 won’t be the first Samsung device to show off the dual camera tech, as the upcoming Galaxy C10 is expected to be that.

Samsung is hoping that the Galaxy Note 8 will undo the reputation damage from the failed Note 7. But the OEM hasn’t got much to worry about, as Galaxy S8 sales have doubled as compared to the previous gen Galaxy S7.
