Google Play Store is receiving yet another update which seems to be minor but makes a significant jump in version number from 5.5.12 to 5.6.6.
What has changed? Well, very little on the visual side of things but a quick teardown of the APK by the folks at AndroidPolice reveals strings pointing to foundation of Kids accounts into the Play Store app with certain restrictions like download limits, authenticated in-app purchases and filters to show only the suitable stuff to kids.
On the visual front, the Play Store version 5.6.6 brings “consistent layout alignment and order of buttons everywhere in the app” as said by Kirill Grouchnikov over at Google+. Take a look at the screenshot below:
