Welcome to updates Wednesday! It’s that day of the week again, when Google (well, mostly) updates its Android apps to newer and better versions. And today it starts with the big guy Play Store itself getting updated version 5.3.6. It’s worthy to note here that version 5.3.5 of Play Store was only released a few days back, and it came with a number of visual changes.
As rumored previously, the new search bar (Google Now styled) has finally made it to the Play Store with the 5.3.6 update, however, surprisingly, some of our devices running the previous 5.3.5 update are also showing the new search bar.
Also, the What’s New section on app pages is now pushed down to below app’s description.
The new animations from Android 5.1 update that we reported yesterday are also present in 5.3.6 update, but they are still exclusive to the Android 5.1 release, guess something in 5.1 is specifically required for these animations to come in play.
We are yet to spot more visual changes in the new Play Store version, but we’re pretty sure there’s something huge that’s added to the code of the app as it’s now almost 1.22MB bigger in size than the previous (5.3.5) Play Store update.
